Whether you are simply curious about God or you are a believer in Jesus Christ who wants to know more about the ministries of Family Worship Center, we are here to help you. We are a family who seeks to change our hearts from "religion" to a "relationship" with God and other believers.
At Family Worship Center we strive to maintain a non-judgmental approach to all our ministries through the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. No matter where you have been or what you have done, God still loves you and so do we. We realize that the only perfect person that ever existed was crucified on a cross long ago.
We are a group of people existing to encourage one another and lead others to this free-gift of salvation
we have discovered in our own lives. Family Worship Center is a relaxed worship experience with a healthy blend of contemporary worship and hymns.
Our ministry team leaders present the message of God through powerful teaching-sermons with a strong biblical foundation and good balance of relational stories with practical applications.
We pray that you will discover God's undconditional love at Family Worship Center!
To lead people from all backgrounds of life into a RELATIONSHIP with Christ and others.
Matthew 28:18-20 (NLT)
Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
To REACH 10% of our community (Coles County) in some form of ministry.
It's not about numbers - it's about how many souls can be reached.
We believe that every person has a soul, every soul has a story and that every story needs Jesus!
It’s all about having a relationship with Jesus Christ, not religion.
The Family Worship Center focuses on helping people build deep relationships with Jesus Christ.
We do not conform to the world’s view of what “religion” has become.
You begin to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ when you accept Him as your Lord & Savior.
"For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish -
But have eternal life." John 3:16
Seeing lives changed through God’s power of restoration.
The Family Worship Center believes that God is in the business of restoring you to a measure above and beyond where you are! No matter where you are, or where you
once were, God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake you’ve ever made!
Through your faith in God, He will restore you abundantly!
Our God is a God of restoration!
Restoration and sanctification go hand in hand. Sanctification is the process of becoming more Holy, Christ like. This is a lifetime process of improvement that is revealed to each of us as we walk with God.
"God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth." (II Thessalonians 2:13)
"Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours." (Isaiah 61:7)
Be the hands & feet of Jesus.
The Family Worship Center is focused on reaching out to spread the Word of God and lead the lost to salvation.
We believe that selfishness can ruin a church, but genuine humility will grow God’s Kingdom!
“I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Mathew 28-17-20)
"Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too." (Phillipians2:3-4)
“You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally
important: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
